Hello everyone I know it's been 4 years since I posted here but it's time to reflect on what I learned these 7 years in the industry that I might never leave.
First hard work can be rewarded. Yes I'm a hard worker no matter the task at hand. After 3 and 1/2 year working at my first job I did get a promotion but I could have gotten it sooner but because their was 3 other people their longer then me they had the opportunity first. Even then I almost did not get the promotion since I did not have a car.
Second hard work can back fire. Funny enough working to hard might lead to health and mental problems that are hard to recover from. After 5+ years with my first job they cut my hours claiming that I need to take it easy and not to over do it. Sadly my life style did not like this. Then slowly days I wanted off were taken from me to help someone else. Even when I earned a day off on the weekend someone thought it was better for them to have both days and not to share with the rest of us. Even after years of working for this company I lost all my manager shifts and was in a sense demoted to team member that can wear a manager shirt.
Third traveling is required. When I started working traveling to work and home was a given. Most times I had a ride line up or I just walked to help lose weight. But a few years later I started going to other stores which I did not plan on. I started to like going to other stores and as one of the managers I knew would say, "A change in sense is a good feeling. Seeing the same 4 walls everyday gets boring." As often they asked me to travel I said yes every time.
Fourth traveling can get tiresome. After doing this for more years I get tired of it. It get pricey for me since I use uber to get home. Plus I only go to 1 other store now and it's getting old. Thankfully the company that I part of is willing to help me travel to the other stores.
Wow a lot has happen and even more for me to write about. I think leaving me room to write more is a good idea right now. Hope you all are well and see you soom.
